I had an email from the Windows Mobile Team - it mentioned Photo Contacts Pro (http://www.pocketx.net/products/photocontactspro_ppc/index.html) which looked pretty good. I should have known better than to tinker with any new programs on my Treo Pro - it's been stable for a good few weeks now. Anyway, I installed it and it didn't give me much more than the built-in contact search - I think it's designed for WM5 or older OSs which haven't got a very good contact search. The plus points are it looks pretty powerful and has a full screen picture when you get a call BUT the big negative point was that when the Treo was set to silent/vibrate it didn't vibrate. So I logged the issue on PocketX's support area of the website.
So I uninstalled it and found that the phone didn't ring when I had a call. I've had this problem before and had to hard reset the device and reinstall everything. Turns out that all it was was the volume had been turned right down - basically off. So turning up the volume was all that needed. Sometimes you can overlook the obvious.
