Video Playback Error

My Palm Treo Pro can record videos, it saves them as MP4 files.  I was getting the following error when I was trying to play them back with QuickTime

Error - 2041: an invalid sample description was found in the move (VIDEO00001.MP4).

A quick Google search reveals the simple solution - rename the file extension to 3GP.  

Easy when you know how....
